Use TeamViewer On Android / iPhone To Remote Access Home Computer

If you’re on a business trip and you’d like to access a personal document on your home computer, you can use TeamViewer app for Android or iPhone as long as you have such a device. The great thing about the application is the fact that it can be used on a Windows PC, on OS X Lion or on a PC running Linux, without having to configure additional settings regarding your firewall, IP or anything related.

Once you install it on your Android or iPhone, you can check out a demo of how TeamViewer remotely connects to a computer. You have to type in 12345 in the TeamViewer ID field without any kind of password and then tap on the Connect to Partner button from the app. This will connect you to a TeamViewer test mode for a Windows session where you can get to know the tool.

Use TeamViewer On Android iPhone To Remote Access Home Computer

When you run TeamViewer, an ID will automatically load and a random password will be generated. To connect and access remotely the home computer, you will have to enter the ID and password in TeamViewer app for your Android or iPhone.
Each time that you connect to the home computer, a panel for TeamViewer will be displayed on your screen. This will allow you to see who connected remotely to the computer and if required, to disconnect the user.
Going back to the TeamViewer app for Android or iPhone, once you connect to the home computer you will be able to type something in by taping on the keyboard icon. The Ctrl, Alt and Windows keys are supported in TeamViewer trough the dedicated buttons that you can find at the top of the screen.
The interface of TeamViewer app for Android or iPhone has a magnifying glass that will allow you to zoom in the home computer. This way you will be able to check out the details in a particular area of the screen.
If you want to restart the home computer you will have to use the wrench icon from TeamViewer app for Android or iPhone. To access the screen options in TeamViewer you will have to use the small icon that looks like gear wheel. From there you will be able to customize the graphical settings of the remote computer, which will hopefully improve the remote connection performance.
To close the TeamViewer connection and disconnect from the home computer you just have to tap the X icon.
