Download and install Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread on Samsung Galaxy S

Samsung Galaxy S users will have a smile on their face after hearing that they can update their Android smartphone with the latest Android Gingerbread 2.3.5

After the success of Samsung Galaxy and Galaxy Spica, the Korean manufacturer stroke again last year by launching a new Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S. With very attractive characteristics on paper, it definitely falls in the heart of the premium class, a market sector where the top names in the discipline ( iPhone 4, HTC Desire) are engaged in a impetuous battle.

Samsung S Galaxy was supposed to be a champion in its class because it combined a lot of technical inovations ( 1 GHZ Hummingbird CPU, 512 MB RAM, 480 x 800 SuperAMOLED Display, 8 or 16 Gb memory, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 3.0, 7.2 Mbps  HSDPA, USB 2.0.) with a new  full of oportunities operating system: Android. And it, somehow, managed to rip a big piece of the cake on the smartphones’ market.
The packaging of Samsung Galaxy S is very classic and does not suffer from any gross deficiency. It includes: – AC charger – USB cable transfer – a hands-free stereo earphones – but no microSD memory card. This deficiency should be relative because of  the high amount of onboard memory (8 or 16 GB).
The screen is recessed a little below the edge of the casing, which protects it from direct contact with hard surfaces when placed with its face down. As it can be expected, the 4-inch screen of the Samsung Galaxy occupies most of the front space , a small space is reserved for navigation buttons on the bottom of the phone and the headset and the front camera on the above.
A good idea from Samsung was to introduce the microUSB port ( with slide) on top of the Samsung Galaxy S – this prevents dirt from blocking the port. The top of the phone also houses the 3.5mm audio jack, which can serve as a port for S-video TV out, if you have the extra cable. Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy S has no HDMI port, this android smartphone being nevertheless on track to win the battle for multimedia.

The design of the handset is not incredibly innovative, but practical and comfortable to grip, with a lump in his lower back. It is also very thin with only 9.9 mm. This remarkable achievement is due to the technology behind the 4 inches Super AMOLED (480 × 800 pixels) WVGA screen. Samsung has put a layer of air between the panel and the touch-sensitive screen fo the Samsung Galaxy and they also placed the touch sensor directly on it – almost like a coating to a thickness of 0.001 mm. This has certainly helped to maintain an attractive appearance despite its googd characteristics.
The Super AMOLED screen from the Samsung Galaxy S was ahead of its time one year ago because the screen is working very well in full sun. However, I noticed one downside: the pixel density (ppi) should certainly be too low because the small text is a little bit difficult to read and I noticed that you could see the pixels on the screen if you look closer. However, the Super AMOLED technology is a tremendous step forward in every sense: Apple should bite the fingers because they missed this technology on their iPhone 4.

The only problem in the Samsung Galaxy S design is its plastic finish. I would have preferred high-end materials such as aluminum. But look at the bright side: its plastic provides a significant weight reduction, Samsung has managed to fit everything in 118 grams, which could easily be compared to the HTC EVO: 170 grams, or the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 with 135 grams.
