Use Smiley & Emoticons In Windows 8 [How To]

Windows 8 brings lots of new features and improvements in terms of performance, like the new Metro user interface or the new file management system. A feature that was not present in previous versions of Windows is the use of emoticons and smiley shortcuts when typing.
The next generation of the operating system, called Windows 8 has been designed by Microsoft to be used on desktop PC’s, tablets and later on with a slimmed down version, on Windows Phone devices. This means that the user will likely use smiley and emoticons in Windows 8 quite often, given the high number of social apps from the Start Screen that come by default with the operating system.
Windows 8 has been seriously optimized to be used easily on touch screen computers (tablets and PC’s) so Microsoft had to do some changes for the keyboard as well. As a result, they considered really important to have smiley and emoticons in Windows 8 only a finger touch away.
