I am not a huge fan of Firefox but I admit that it comes with some unique features. Therefore, I know that it has a pretty big community of fans. That’s why I have some good news for them. Firefox 11 has shown up and it is available for download.
Even if it has been scheduled to be announced and released yesterday, the new major update, Firefox 11, has suffered a delay due to some logistical issues. However, the new browser is now available for download.
Having in mind that Microsoft wanted to release a series of updates in the same day, Mozilla officials preferred to delay the release of their new Firefox 11, so they could be sure that the new OS updates won’t affect the performance of their new browser. Another reason for this delay seemed to be a stability bug, which has been discovered by a security specialist.

Today, Mozilla has released Firefox 11. This comes after less than 2 months and it should increase the performance and the stability of the famous browser, as usual.  This will happen, mainly, through the new SPDY protocol.
Firefox 11 brings several improvements when it comes to security and new facilities. Through these changes, the new browser tries to compensate the lack of innovation which has been brought into discussion by Firefox 10 users.

If you download the new Firefox 11, you will receive a new synchronization function, which is capable of covering the big collections of plugin components. The “Forget This Site” feature allows you to delete any traces of a site that you have visited and “Page Inspector 3D”provides you with the possibility to view a particular webpage structure in a very interesting way.
Firefox 11 is now accepting Google Chrome users which decide to move to this browser, by importing the preferences and the favorite sites. Using the Sync function, the add-ons are also being synchronized. The CSS text size can be modified; we have new HTML5 options and new developer facilities. Mainly, these are all the novelties that Firefox 11 is bringing.
The mobile version of Firefox 11has been designed for Google Android operating system and it is also compatible with Adobe Flash. The performance has been measured, this time, with Peacekeeper 2. IT has not shown anything new, when compared to the previous versions of this browser. However, the new browser scored more than internet Explorer 9, being positioned approximately at the same level with Safari 5, and under Opera or chrome.
The testing system for Firefox 11 was, mainly, the same: 3.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, i965P chipset, 2 GB DDr 2 RAM memory @ 800 Mhz, Radeon HD 6850 Video Card, RAID 0 320 GB x 2 and Windows 7 Professional 64 bits.
